In 1998 she was recognized by the Miss Universe Organization and presented with The Life Time Achievement Award for her philanthropy work. 

She Hosted the Miss Florida Pageant in 2015, was a Judge for the Miss Universe Pageant in 2015, and Judged the Miss USA Pageant 2016 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 

She is presently writing a book on the pageant industry, helping women how to cope with the demands of the beauty industry and self-esteem issues.  She offers seminars, workshops and coaching for women in the beauty, modeling and pageant industries.

Her new company, The Business of Beauty, with her partner, Jane Bebita, coaches women in the transition from being title holders, going into the business arena, to understand the power of personal branding and endorsements, for the longevity of their business careers.
